Andy Gray the famous football commentator said "If you ask any football fan to name 5 top clubs, Real Madrid would
definitely be in the list".
Established in 1902 the Spanish Capital City Giants won their 30th League title
in the 2006/07 campaign and was also voted recently by FIFA as the Club of the Century.
I have watched Real Madrid
play from 1998 and season after season have lived the joy and the disappointments for now almost a decade.
Santiago Bernabéu is the home of Real Madrid.
The stadium was inaugurated in December 1947 with a match
between Real Madrid and the Portuguese club Os Belenseses. When first expanded in 1954, it became the largest stadium in the
world at that time, with a capacity of 120,000. There have been several renovations since then, and current capacity is 80,400.
Recently UEFA granted The Bernabéu the "Elite" status which only two other stadiums accross
Europe have.
